Secluded luxury within Disney World

As a Disney World aficionado, my favorite resort is Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club for various reasons. Location and atmosphere being top. While I haven’t stayed at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World – it does certainly welcome you with luxury pampering.

Four Seasons is known to surpass every other hotel chain in ambiance, immaculate communal areas, incredible service, and gorgeous rooms. While considered luxurious, they cater to families in a sophisticated yet caring way.

While Disney’s Grand Floridian is considered the top of the line Disney owned resort, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is simply unbeatable in terms of luxury when compared to the other Walt Disney World Resorts.

Nestled within the 47 square miles of Walt Disney World, the Four Seasons is tucked away in the secluded millionaires’ community of Golden Oaks. As other Disney owned resorts, they do offer a complimentary luxury shuttle to get to the parks.

The look of the resort buildings has a Spanish or Italian feel with tropical grounds. The entire complex is an oasis of calm and the perfect escape after a full day at the theme parks.

This 444 room lakeside haven has extensive gardens and pools including waterslides and a lazy river.  Two beautiful elegant infinity pools, one for the family and one for adults only. Visitors cross a bridge to reach Explorers Island, the family area themed as a 19th Century citrus plantation estate, as a nod to Florida’s history. A ruinous mansion tower inspires exploration and houses the waterslides and climbing wall.

Tee off at the exclusive Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando. Treat yourself to a soothing, post-park massage at The Spa, or toast the evening fireworks with dinner at the rooftop steakhouse Capa. 

The design of the property is expansive and well laid out. Wherever you go on the grounds, it is never too crowded, even when the hotel is full.

To put the size of the accommodations in perspective – the Four Seasons’ base room is larger than the standard or deluxe room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which is your next best luxury option.

If possible spend a bit more for a Park View Room at the Four Seasons on the 6th to 16th floor, which will give you views of the Nightly Magic Kingdom Park fireworks display.

Of course, Four Seasons provides sophisticated fine dining. There are seven dining and lounge options here. Ravello has its own bar and celebrates fresh Italian food and cocktails. The pool bar PB&G offers light bites. There is a coffee bar, plus the golf clubhouse has a restaurant open for lunch.

The rooftop restaurant Capa is the place to go if you don’t have a room with a fireworks view. This restaurant is on the roof where you can comfortably watch the nightly Disney fireworks while enjoy your meal and cocktail.
