What Italian foodie lover doesn’t love gelato? Well some tasty news has been circulating lately that will make many people visiting EPCOT very happy.
Reports are that Patina Restaurant Group is adding a new food and beverage location to the World Showcase between Italy and the American Adventure pavilions.
Disney or Patina is yet to formally announced the project, but from its name of “La Gelateria,’ one should expect a delightful serving of frozen Italian desserts.
Patina Restaurant Group is well established in several U.S. states and operates all of the eateries within the EPCOT Italy Pavilion – TUTTO ITALIA RISTORANTE, VIA NAPOLI RISTORANTE E PIZZERIA and TUTTO GUSTO. At Disney Springs they also operate ENZO’S HIDEAWAY, MARIA & ENZO’S, PIZZA PONTE – as well as MORIMOTO ASIA and THE EDISON.
The expiration date on the filed permit is noted as December 31st, 2021, which means the work is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
